The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed  Matt. 13:31

Seeds have always served as inspiration for me.  When we are truly attentive, how can we not stand in awe before a seed?  What a mystery it is with its potential to break open and pour out life!  How amazing to watch the growth of tiny things!

How can something so small become so magnificent?  Imagine for a moment how small you were on the day of your birth. You, too, grew from a seed.  Like the mustard seek you are filled with budding possibilities for growth.

Imagine that today is your birthday. Rejoice in the truth that God breathed upon the tiny seed of you. God smiled upon your smallness and you blossomed into a wondrous tree of life.  You, too, are a sign of the kingdom of God. The leaven of your little life lived with faithfulness can assist others in rising to the greatness God desires for them. Happy birthday, you beautiful tree of life.
